Effective Strategies for Integrating Teaching and Learning of Phonics in the Modern Languages Classroom.
21 September 2023 at 16:00-17:30 BST
This is a repeat of the January 2023 event. In this session we will explore a range of teaching and learning strategies that can be used for both introducing and recycling phonics knowledge in the Modern Languages classroom, from KS3 to KS5. We will use examples from French, German and Spanish, but all the strategies that we share will be applicable across the three languages.
By the end of this session you will:
• be reassured that phonics is a natural element of language teaching
• explore a range of activities that integrate phonics into teaching and learning, from starters to flipped learning, classroom competitions and plenaries
• immediately be able to put your learning into practice in your next language lessons.
Please note: As this session may be repeated, and to ensure recorded content is not accessed by undisclosed third parties, it is Pearson’s policy not to share recordings for paid training events. This event can count as 1.5 hours of CPD. You will receive an e-certificate by email, post attendance.
