This online training is designed for teachers who are delivering the International GCSE/Advanced level Science specifications.
This training will give you an opportunity to learn and discuss effective teaching and learning strategies to help your students’ achieve their potential in the final assessments. This training is delivered in 2 parts.
In Part 2, delegates will:
- Be introduced to a range of teaching and learning strategies particularly applicable to science subjects
- Have an opportunity to share best practice of what has worked well with students studying these specifications
- Discuss strategies for optimising the learning of students in practical investigations, including the Core Practical's, to better enable them to tackle the ways in which working scientifically skills are now examined
- To learn from analysis of how students have performed in examinations to identify those areas of learning which students have found most challenging
- To discuss the implications of that analysis for teaching and learning strategies
- Network, discuss best practice and share ideas with other teachers
The content of this training is based on the reformed specification for first teaching from June 2019.
This training can count as 2 hours of CPD. You will receive an e-certificate by email, post attendance.
