A Level Geography: Coursework Marking Training

This self-paced trainingcourse, created by the Pearson Edexcel Geography team, is designed to support teachers in delivering our A Level qualification. The training is structured to help you gain a deeper understanding of the assessment requirements and the application of the mark scheme criteria. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to apply the skills you’ve acquired by evaluating exemplar Independent Investigations.
After completing this course you will:
- understand the purpose of the Independent Investigation
- understand how to administer Independent Investigations including fieldwork requirements and developing investigation questions
- understand the Independent Investigation assessment requirements including use of AI
- understand how to assess independent investigations and apply the four levels-based mark schemes
- have considering ‘good practice’ and avoid ‘pit falls’.
