A Level Geography: Supporting you with our DE&I changes
09 July 2024 at 16:00-18:00 BST
This session has been developed to support teachers of Pearson Edexcel A Level Geography with the minor updates we’ve made to our AS and A Level Geography specification (for first teaching in September 2024).
The course will cover:
• the changes made to the specification language and place exemplification to help improve the diversity and inclusiveness of the geographical content
• support and resources to guide your teaching.
This session has been designed and delivered by Nona Anderson and Hamda Sheikh who both teach Pearson Edexcel A Level Geography and are members of the Decolonising Geography group. They will also be joined by Pearson Edexcel’s Geography Subject Advisor, Jon Wolton.
As this session includes important updates to the requirements of our AS and A Level Geography specifications it will be beneficial for all geography teachers and subject leaders; the content will be particularly useful for those who are leading on improving the DE&I of their geography curriculum.
This event counts as 2 hours of CPD.
You will receive an e-certificate by email, post attendance.
