This self-paced training course, created by the Pearson Edexcel Art and Design team, is designed to support teachers in delivering our GCSE qualification. The training is structured to help you gain a deeper understanding of the taxonomy terminology and assessment grids associated with the marking of GCSE Art and Design components. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to apply the skills you’ve acquired by evaluating real exemplar student portfolios.

After completing this course you will:

• have a clear understanding of the assessment requirements for Components 1 and 2
• be able to confidently apply the assessment grids for Components 1 and 2
• understand how marks are awarded for student portfolios
• know where to access further support and resources from Pearson Edexcel.

Once you click on the Register / Sign in link below you will be taken to the course login page. Here you can either log-in with your Edexcel Online details, or create an account. Once logged in you will be asked to confirm the course you want to take; you will then be taken to the enrolment page.
