This free online training is for centres currently offering or considering offering design routes (Costume Design, Lighting Design, Set Design and Sound Design) in Pearson Edexcel GCSE Drama. The session focuses on understanding specification requirements, supporting delivery, and assessing design work.

You will:

• learn about the requirements of design routes in the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Drama specification
• explore a range of practical teaching and learning strategies for supporting students following these routes
• evaluate exemplars of design work in Components 1 and 2 using the assessment criteria for designers

Please note: a recording of the event will be available to attendees within three days of the event. We will also release a copy on our YouTube channel, accessible via the Professional Development Academy, later in the term. This event counts as 2 hours of CPD. You will receive a certificate via email after the event.
