GCSE Geography: Developing High Quality Fieldwork Experiences
26 June 2025 at 16:00-18:00 BST
This is a repeat of the fieldwork training session from January 2024.
This course has been developed for teachers of Pearson Edexcel GCSE Geography A and B and aims to build your confidence in creating interesting and engaging fieldwork experiences.
The course will cover:
• strengthening your understanding of the fieldwork enquiry process
• exploring what high quality fieldwork looks like in GCSE Geography
• discovering how you can do more with less, creating engaging and exciting fieldwork with fewer resources
• considering what your students need to successfully progress to A Level Geography
• practical ideas to take away and use in your classrooms.
This course has been designed and delivered by Rebecca Kitchen, Head of Professional Development at the Geographical Association. Rebecca has 17 years of experience in teaching geography and joined the GA in 2015. She has a wealth of experience in creating and delivering PD, authoring educational resources and geographical education consultancy.
This course would be ideal for Early Career Teachers and those aspiring to a Head of Department role, but it would be suitable for anyone looking to build their confidence and understanding of what makes great geography fieldwork.
Please note: As this session may be repeated, and to ensure recorded content is not accessed by undisclosed third parties, it is Pearson’s policy not to share recordings for paid training events.
This event can count as 2 hours of CPD.
You will receive an e-certificate by email, post attendance.
