This online event is designed to provide focused subject knowledge support for the 'Marriage and the Family' section, featured in the 'Christianity' area of study, for Pearson Edexcel's GCSE in Religious Studies (specification B). The event will offer clarification on specification content, provide opportunities to discuss the planning of engaging lessons, using a variety of resources and activities, and the opportunity for 'Q&A' with a subject specialist.

The workshop would be suitable for both new and experienced teachers who want to enhance their subject knowledge and pedagogy.

You will:
• gain a deeper understanding of the Edexcel GCSE Religious Studies (Specification B) for Christianity and its requirements
• discuss practical skills and strategies to design, and deliver, effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• gain access to relevant resources to support teaching and learning
• benefit from the feedback and advice of subject specialists.

Please note: A recording of the event will be available to attendees within three days of the event. We will also be releasing a copy on our YouTube channel, accessible via the Professional Development Academy, later in the term. The event counts as 1.5 hours of CPD. You will receive a certificate via email after the event. '
