This training is designed for teachers teaching the Pearson Edexcel International A Level Physics. The focus of this session will be on the assessment of the specification, and how your understanding of how assessments are structured for the qualification and how your teaching can be adapted to help your students’ performance on examination papers.
By the end of this training session delegates will,
• Be introduced to the idea of assessment objectives: what are they and why they are used when writing examination papers.
• Analyse recent question papers and learn which types of question match the different assessment objectives.
• Investigate different assessment objectives, considering how questions in these areas have been answered by looking at feedback from previous exam series.
• Discuss strategies for teaching to try and make sure students can access questions targeting different assessment objectives.
• Network, discuss best practice and share ideas with other teachers.
This training counts as 5 hours of CPD. An e-certificate will be sent to you post the event.
Please note, the final 30 minutes of the training session has been set aside to facilitate networking opportunities between attendees and does not count towards the final CPD hours.
