Join Bennie Kara in exploring how to create an effective English curriculum using canonical and contemporary texts. Bennie will be considering the conversation and intertextuality between the books that we choose to put in front of our learners in the classroom.

About the trainer
Bennie Kara is a former deputy headteacher in the East Midlands, specialising in curriculum development, literacy and teaching and learning. Bennie now speaks, writes and trains teachers in schools. Alongside supporting schools to develop their curriculum, shec ontributed to popular series 'A Little Guide for Teachers' and has recently had her fifth book published.
