This free online event, delivered by our Maths Subject Partner, Nicola Woodford-Smith, supports teachers delivering Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Extended Maths Certificate.

The training covers a deeper dive into topics highlighted in the Exam Insights event.

You will:
• look at the similarities and differences in the questions on these topics compared to GCSE and A Level maths
• explore performance from the Summer 2025 exam series
• be shown available resources and given teaching strategy ideas.

Please note: a recording of the event will be available to attendees only within three days of the event. Subsequently, the recording will be added to the qualification website, secured behind a padlock, later in the term.

This event counts as 1 hour of CPD. You will receive a certificate via email after the event.

Nicola Woodford-Smith is the GCSE Maths Subject Partner at Pearson Edexcel, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the development and delivery of maths qualifications across the UK. With over 13 years teaching both GCSE and A Level Maths, Nicola brings deep pedagogical insight to her work. She is passionate about ensuring that all learners can succeed in maths and in creating high-quality teaching resources. She is also the host of The Right Angle podcast, where she facilitates conversations on topics such as technology in education, student engagement, and diversity in maths teaching.
